Speedy Gonzales has been beloved by Mexican American's for years, but recently there are have been discussions around his problematic nature and origin resulting in a column written by LA Times contributing writer Gustavo Arellano, so I asked him to join me in discussing this complex history. He agreed!

Happy 80th Cecil the Turtle! Cecil the Turtle first starred alongside Bugs Bunny in Tortoise Beats Hare (1941) Directed by Tex Avery. Bob Clampett and Friz Freleng would also go on to direct the turtle in following shorts.
He has appeared in every series of the Looney Tunes, including the latest series on HBO Max with had him tormenting the rabbit in not only a race, but a math test and a carrot eating contest. That short, "Shell Shocked" is directed by Pete Browngardt.
 
New Batch of Looney Tunes Cartoons dropping April 29th! This new batch will introduce more rare characters into the fold, such as Pete Puma and the Gremlin character from Falling Hare!

This Episode was originally recorded in December of 2020 and I held it off until new Space Jam: A New Legacy promotion started as we discuss the history of the Space Jam Franchise!
Dan Romanelli is the man behind Warner Brothers Consumer Products and who allowed Bugs Bunny and Batman into Six Flags Theme Parks across the world! He brings a lot of stories to the show and I'm so thankful for the one regarding a Warner Brothers Store that was located in one of the Twin Towers during 9/11 that stood tall after the attacks.
Come along as we explore his legacy as well as examine a true Chuck Jones classic in Frigid Hare which introduced the Playboy Penguin.

This Means Controversy! Space Jam: A New Legacy EW Interviews! Plus, The Whole Pepe Le Pew Affair and Lola Bunny's New Design

We finally have some new detail on Space Jam: A New Legacy thanks to Entertainment Weekly and their April Issue! In part to new images being released, Lola Bunny has caught some controversy which set Twitter ablaze and on those heels, Pepe Le Pew was a hot topic across the internet after Deadline reported a scene with him was cut out of the new film. In this week's episode, I'm joined once again by the talented singer/songwriter Reina Mora (see LOLA IN SPAAAAAAACE!) and John Carmack, a friend from college and the CEO of VEGIFY also stops by for some much needed insight to discuss these topics and more!

Toon'd Up! A Rundown of News from Animaniacs on Hulu to Bugs Bunny Builders.

After a brief hiatus, the podcast has returned with a breakdown and dissection of the latest Looney Tunes News across all franchises including news of a rebooted Tiny Toons; titled Tiny Toons Looniversity! and Animaniacs on Hulu!
I'm joined by my wife and massive Disney fan Sabina Graves (@ThatLadyGraves on Instagram and @SabinaHasNoR on Twitter) who brings so extra excitement in our discussions surrounding the newly announced animated shows from Warner Animation!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, we will be seeing a big push for pre-school audiences and we're excited about watching them with our future kids!
Bugs Bunny Builders (working title) – Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and built on the solid comedic foundation of the iconic Looney Tunes, Bugs Bunny Builders brings the wackiness, humor and slapstick we’ve grown to love to a new preschool audience. At ACME Construction Company Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny manage a crew of builders that, quite frankly, should not be anywhere near a construction site. However, by working together as a team, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety and others use their tools and wild vehicles to pull off some of the looniest construction jobs ever.
Tweety Mysteries (working title) – Tweety Mysteries is a hybrid live-action/animated adventure from Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Television that follows a curious tween investigative journalist and podcaster named Sydney and her sidekick Tweety bird. Working together the pair must solve various local mysteries in their small, quirky Washington state town.

Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar is a bonkers mash of zany comedy with an Austin Powers bend! Highly recommend checking it out if you love 90's era comedies.

Dave Baer has passed away at 70.
He animated Mickey Mouse in this classic scene from Who Framed Roger Rabbit; which is a seminal moment in animation as two legends finally shared the screen together.
